Time:  10 am - 11 am

In-person and Online

Location: In person at St. Thomas, 46048 Gore Avenue, Chilliwack BC

Online via Zoom (link will be sent out after registration)

Facilitator: The Reverend Lorie Martin

This study/practice circle will engage with Thomas Keating's teaching and practice booklet on Discernment. This offering is 40-days of short, but powerful daily readings beginning on Ash Wednesday (March 5) along with a one-hour weekly circle gathering on Fridays in Lent (beginning on Fri. Mar. 14 - Apr 11). On-line participants will join a live circle group via Zoom. Together we will flow through the stages of this discernment process with the invitations to open to the Spirit, discern a question, observe, receive, and walk out the answer that comes.

Discernment Booklets can be purchased from Contemplative Outreach HERE

or Booklet Digital Download HERE

The booklet reviews the five movements of a contemplative discernment practice and invites participants to use their own real-life questions during this 40-day praxis.  Each day includes a beautiful image, Scripture passages, brief readings and a suggested practice, as well as space for notes.  The booklet ends with an invitation to engage contemplative discernment as a way of life, bringing all matters small and large to the Holy Spirit and living with a disposition of deep listening and inner stillness. We will be with the daily invitations on our own and gather weekly to deepen into the experience together.

I have found this process to be incredibly enlightening and encouraging to help me be still and know God's voice and guidance. - Lorie

Registration fee options: $60, $40, $20, or full scholarship with no fee - When registering, please select the fee option that works for you.
